The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed regarding the higher variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and sassa there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The services point made for intervention encounters a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all shoppers and improve use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
